Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL)
Since 1971, The Arizona Animal Welfare League has been a leader in its community to end pet homelessness. Receiving no national or government funds, AAWL is solely supported through local donations and grants. AAWL’s two adoption locations house over 300 animals, and as Arizona’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter, adopts over 4,000 animals each year. The AAWL also has a low-cost public clinic, family and children education programs, outreach about animal welfare, and other facets to engage our community. All animals adopted from AAWL are medically and behaviorally evaluated, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and up to date on vaccines to provide the best start to their new life.
