About Flyball
Flyball is a relay race with dogs that started in the early 1970’s. There are four dogs to a team and four hurdles. At the end of the four hurdles is a spring-loaded box that holds a tennis ball. The dogs jump the four hurdles in sequence, hit the flyball box (releasing the tennis ball) catch the tennis ball and jump the four hurdles back (while carrying the tennis ball in their mouth). The first team to successfully complete the relay wins. Lights similar to drag racing are used. If a dog passes the light sensor too soon, creating a early pass or does not complete the relay successfully that dog must be re-run after all the other dogs on their team have run. Our Flyball demos will be given by Phoenix Fuzion Flyball and How Pawsuit! http://www.phoenixhotpawsuit.com/ |
